Not long ago,  when walking down the aisle of my local electronics super store, I was astonished to see residential renewable energy kits sitting right there next to the computer accessories.

Green energy kits involve modest home wind turbine kits or solar panels that you can install your self.

Interesting, I thought. Renewable energy has definitely come a long way in the last few years.

Actually, I can invest in a small home wind turbine ready to install on a Saturday afternoon with my mastercharge credit card in a local electronics shop and have it totally functional before the end of the weekend.

Of course there is a big difference between the home wind power kit I saw and the home wind power systems used to totally power homes.

It is a large leap forward though, to discover renewable energy kits so readily available to the normal consumer.

Why is it average homeowners are willing to pay $799.00 dollars or more to acquire one of these renewable energy kits?

2 reasons I think:

1st, the public has finally realized that power prices will never decline. Because of a common shortage of supply, and the capability of those who own and control the energy corporations to manipulate the prices, everyone now understands that high energy prices are here to stay.

2nd, I believe people today are inquisitive about the mechanics and operation of any gadget that will permit them to take free resources such as the wind and sun and produce electrical energy that they can use in their household.

It makes excellent sense that people today familiarize themselves with the newer technologies before they are inclined to invest heavily in it.

As time goes by and more men and women become used to wind and solar technologies, the demand will improve and prices will commence to come down. Until then purchasing a supplemental wind or solar kit to produce added energy for your household is an excellent way to introduce yourself to home green energy systems.
