After a major construction or remodeling project, it is odds are that you will have a good bit of gypsum walls left to dispose of. If you only have a few scraps or a ton of junk gypsum pieces, gypsum boards recycling is something that you must absolutely do.

Most recycling centers are now accepting drywall, but it might be a good idea to contact them ahead to be certain. You should also determine if you will need to carry the material to the recycling site with your own means. Some facilities like Recyconstruction can actually bring a truck to pick it up for you.
It is not every recycling facilities will in fact take every type of drywall like Recyconstruction does. You might have to closely inspect the sheetrock before you ship it in to the recycling facility.
If you are working on a project long term, it is a good move to set aside a recycling bin made for these wastes. It will remove excessive muddle while you are saving these to send to the recycling partner. Make sure that everyone involved in the project and make them know what that bin is for and that you plan of recycling all its contents.
If you are on an expensive project, you may want to invest in a serviced recycling pickup. This way you won’t have to worry about it and can rest with peace that you are doing your part to make the best thing for the environment.
If you are in the belief of not having the time to deal with this project by yourself and do not want to take a recycling handling service, you could also donate your biggest drywall material to a nonprofit organization that needs it.Some of these NGO will make use of the materials to make a center or shelters for people in need.
