Prevent Animal Cruelty by Choosing Natural Skin Products

You will find skincare news in some unlikely places.  It is understandable that magazines like Vanity Fair do skin care product reviews.   But why would the Wall Street Journal publish articles about them?

Knowing that the cosmetic industry takes in billions of dollars per year makes it simpler to understand why a business paper would incorporate articles about new products.   Their subscribers undoubtedly contain investors in companies like Estee Lauder.

The Journal and other newspapers like it are unlikely to cover controversial topics like testing skincare ingredients on animals.   The controversy is most likely a minor annoyance to L’Oreal.   It is a major issue to animal rights organizations, and those who sympathize with them.

Think about this for a moment.   If skin care companies chose to use only the safest, natural skin care ingredients, there would be no need for animal testing.

You can easily find authentic scenes of animals being tortured in order to test the latest skin care ingredient. These scenes are not sensationalized.   They were captured via concealed cameras, normally carried by people forced to work in the laboratories where the animals are tortured.

The reason for animal testing is clear.   Companies incorporate dangerous chemicals in their products.  The chemical substances cause burns, hair loss and other adverse reactions.

It may be difficult to uncover skincare products that are fully safe.  For someone with allergies or sensitivities, locating cleansers and moisturizers is even more difficult.   Locating a good skin care product that doesn’t have side effects is next to impossible.

If the research and development team was confident in the safety of an anti-aging cream, they would test them on themselves.   If manufacturers truly believed in their products, the company CEOs would participate in pre-release trials.  Now that would be a great news story. The publicity would be amazing!

In most cases, we can’t even put a face to the name of the company.   What do the key investors look like?  If their products were as good as they claim then to be, they would all look young and beautiful.

According to the most recent skin care research, the most successful ingredients are ones like functional keratin, protein poly-peptides, Nano-lipobelle HEQ10 and plant extracts like wakame.  You won’t find natural skincare products with these ingredients in your local store.   But, if your skin’s health is really worth it, you’ll take the time to look for them.
